Job summary

Marysville School District 25 is seeking paraprofessionals to support Behavior Intervention Programs under certificated staff. The role involves assisting students in one-to-one, small group, and integrated settings, focusing on behavioral growth and reintegration.

Requires high school diploma, paraprofessional assessment or higher, and training in First Aid/CPR and de-escalation. Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and complete district training; in-district applicants have priority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Paraprofessional Assessment with score 455 or higher, or an Associate’s or higher degree.
• Completion of fourteen (14) hours of Fundamental Course of Study training in first year of employment.
• Completion of an additional 70 hours of professional development within three years to obtain General Paraeducator Certificate.
• Ability to stoop, crouch, crawl, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods.
• Position may require diapering, toileting, and feeding of special needs students.
• Ability to assist in student de-escalation and physical intervention when needed.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with emergency protocols.
• I-9 Employment eligibility and immunization proof as required.
• Completion of district-required training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Behavior Intervention Program students in one-to-one, small group, and integrated settings.
• Assist students in conflict resolution and reintegration.
• Assist teachers with materials for individual learning needs.
• Assist with gross and fine motor strengthening activities.
• Support speech and language needs and communication.
• Supervise students and maintain safety in assigned areas.
• Maintain student records and progress as directed.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
