Job summary

Marysville School District 25 is seeking a paraprofessional to support Behavior Intervention Programs and other learning environments for students. The role involves one-to-one and small-group work, assisting with materials, and promoting safe student progress under certificated staff supervision.

Essential duties include de-escalation, data logging, and collaboration with teachers to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Official transcripts showing 72 quarter credits or an Associate’s degree OR Parapro Assessment with 461+.
Completion of 14 hours Fundamentals course of study in first year.
70 hours of PD within three years to obtain General Paraeducator Certificate.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with student safety.

Responsibilities

Assist Behavior Program students in one-to-one, small group, and integrated settings.
Support reintegration and behavior growth under supervision of certificated staff.
Prepare and deliver materials tailored to each student’s needs.
Assist in activities including recreation, physical education, and motor strengthening.
Maintain records, supervise, and ensure a safe learning environment.
