Job summary

FMC HR is seeking an Area Sales Manager for our German client, a leading packaging machines manufacturer. Based in Türkiye, Istanbul, you will drive new business, manage key customer relationships, and shape the local market with autonomy and HQ guidance.

You will report to Sales International Director in Germany, work from a home office in Türkiye, and travel as needed to grow the business. Proficiency in Turkish and English is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering.
• Several years of sales experience with capital equipment, ideally in food packaging or related machinery.
• Business-fluent in Turkish and English; German language skills are an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative and ownership.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new customers and develop, expand, and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Build and leverage an active network to identify new business opportunities and strengthen sales activities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of market and sales strategies.
• Assess market potential, provide rolling forecasts, and translate insights into targeted sales strategies.
• Provide technical and commercial consultation, prepare quotations, and manage the sales process from initial inquiry through successful completion.
• Plan and participate in trade fairs, customer events, and other sales activities, including the preparation of presentations.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and customer support.
• Represent the company and the Sales function professionally both internally and externally.
