Job summary

FMC HR is seeking an Area Sales Manager for our German client, based in Türkiye. The role offers autonomy to shape and grow the local market, with extensive training and guidance from headquarters.

You will report to the Director Sales International in Germany and work from a home office in Türkiye, with travel as needed. Ideal candidates hold a engineering degree, have experience selling capital equipment for packaging lines, and are fluent in Turkish and English; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Several years of experience selling capital equipment, preferably packaging machinery.
• Fluent in Turkish and English; German is a plus.
• Strong analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel and establish new customer networks.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new customers and develop, expand, and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
• Build and leverage an active network to identify new business opportunities and strengthen sales activities
• Contribute to the development and implementation of market and sales strategies
• Assess market potential, provide rolling forecasts, and translate insights into targeted sales strategies
• Provide technical and commercial consultation, prepare quotations, and manage the sales process from initial inquiry through successful completion
• Plan and participate in trade fairs, customer events, and other sales activities, including the preparation of presentations
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and customer support
• Represent the company and the Sales function professionally both internally and externally
