Job summary

Rapiscan, a part of OSI Systems, Inc., is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer to support Cargo Vehicle Inspection (CVI) systems in Turkey, based in Ankara. The role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (BTEC/City & Guilds/HNC) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, electro-mechanical, or industrial systems.
• IT networking knowledge; CCNP or similar beneficial.
• Experience with PLC-controlled systems, HV systems, radar, or integrated tech is an advantage.
• Relevant practical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and fault diagnosis on CVI systems.
• Serve as the local technical point of contact for customers throughout Turkey.
• Carry out troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and IT-related systems.
• Support the maintenance and servicing of Mercedes-based inspection vehicles.
• Coordinate and perform scheduled maintenance activities on deployed cargo inspection systems.
• Provide technical support and respond to customer service requests both remotely and on-site.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation accurately.
• Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, vehicles, and spare parts.
• Build positive customer relationships and deliver high-quality service.
• Follow all health, safety, and operational requirements.

Role Overview

• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, electro-mechanical, or industrial systems.
• Understanding of IT networking technologies; CCNP or similar beneficial.
• Experience with PLC-controlled systems, HV systems, radar, or integrated technology solutions is an advantage.
• Relevant practical experience will also be considered

Candidate Requirements

• Experience supporting complex technical equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, engine, generator, or networking technologies.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout Turkey.
