Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Customer Engineer - Thermal (Field Service Specialist) to support Ankara-based installations, commissioning, and maintenance of thermal cooling systems. You will diagnose faults, perform measurements, and provide on-site technical support as part of a 24/7 service organization.

• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings.
• Minimum 3–5 years of field service in HVAC or thermal management.
• English at least B2 level for technical documentation.
• Soldering and welding experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot and repair thermal systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance per procedures and quality standards.
• Diagnose faults, take measurements, and implement solutions.
• Provide 24/7 on-call customer support when required.
• Prepare service reports and enter data into systems on time.
• Deliver technical information on equipment operation and procedures.
• Identify risks and report non-conformities at customer sites.
• Ensure field activities comply with OH&S requirements.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Customer Engineer - Thermal (Field Service Specialist)

Location: Ankara, Turkey

Field-Based Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of thermal systems.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and service activities in accordance with technical procedures and quality standards.
• Diagnose faults, perform necessary measurements and inspections, and implement appropriate technical solutions.
• Provide technical support to customers as part of the 24/7 service organization when required.
• Carry out service activities in a timely and complete manner while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance forms, and fault records accurately and enter them into the relevant systems on time.
• Provide customers with technical information regarding equipment operation and basic procedures.
• Identify and report technical risks, non-conformities, and improvement opportunities detected at customer sites.
• Perform all field activities in compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) requirements.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required by business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualification from a vocational high school, technical college, or university in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, or a related technical field.
• Technical knowledge of thermal cooling systems, air conditioning technologies, and associated equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and technical drawings.
• Ability to effectively use electrical measuring instruments and technical service tools.
• Technical knowledge and field experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Preferably 3-5 years of field service experience within HVAC, cooling, thermal management, or a related technical industry.
• Soldering and welding experience is desirable.
• Minimum B2 level English proficiency, with the ability to understand technical documentation and communicate effectively.
• Strong analytical thinking, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in a 24/7 service organization when required.
• No restrictions on domestic or international travel.
• Valid Class B driving licence and ability to drive actively.
