A retail leadership company in Singapore is seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee daily functions across multiple outlets. Responsibilities include ensuring operational excellence, managing profitability, developing staff, and maintaining compliance with food regulations. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in retail or food and beverage operations, particularly in butchery or fresh food environments. The role is pivotal in driving sales targets and enhancing customer experience.
Oversee daily operations across assigned outlets (butchery, retail, and distribution).
Ensure consistent SOP execution for meat cutting, portioning, vacuum packing, wine storage, and delivery standards.
Drive stock accuracy, yield control, wastage reduction, and expiry management.
Enforce SFA, AVS, NEA, and alcohol regulatory compliance at all times.
Conduct regular store audits covering hygiene, merchandising, cold-chain integrity, and POS accuracy.
Own P&L performance for assigned outlets.
Set and monitor sales targets, gross margins, shrinkage, and labour costs.
Work closely with Marketing and E-commerce teams to execute promotions, bundles, and seasonal campaigns (e.g. CNY, Christmas).
Analyse sales trends (meat cuts, SKUs, wine turnover) and recommend assortment optimisation.
Ensure correct pricing, promo execution, and upsell discipline (meat + wine pairing).
Lead, coach, and develop Outlet Managers and Supervisors.
Ensure staff are properly trained in:
Meat handling & cutting standards
Food safety & hygiene
Product knowledge (meat grades, cuts, wine basics)
Customer service and upselling
Handle recruitment support, onboarding, performance reviews, and disciplinary matters.
Build a culture of accountability, pride in craft, and customer obsession.
Oversee ordering, receiving, and stock rotation for meat and wine.
Work with procurement and central production on:
Parent–child SKU conversion
Yield tracking & BOM adherence
Forecasting and replenishment
Ensure accurate stock reporting across POS, inventory systems, and ERP tools.
Minimise stock-outs, overstocking, and expired inventory.
Ensure a consistent premium brand experience across all touchpoints.
Resolve escalated customer issues professionally and decisively.
Monitor reviews, feedback, and repeat customer behaviour.
Act as a brand ambassador for the company’s philosophy of quality, transparency, and craftsmanship.
Submit regular performance reports covering sales, costs, manpower, and operational issues.
Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements.
Support rollout of new systems (POS, inventory, ERP, SOP updates).
Participate in expansion planning and new outlet setup where required.
Minimum 5–8 years in multi-outlet retail or F&B operations.
At least 2–3 years in an Area / Regional / Multi-Store Manager role.
Experience in butchery, fresh food, cold-chain, or wine & spirits is a strong advantage.
