Microbiologist
Job summary
A leading pharmaceutical recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Microbiologist to carry out analytical activities in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. The role involves method development and validation, providing GMP testing support, and training junior scientists. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field with relevant experience or a Diploma with substantial laboratory experience. Responsibilities include environmental sampling and maintaining compliance with GMPs.
Qualifications
- Min Bachelor Degree in a relevant field with 3-4 years of related experience.
- Min Diploma with at least 8 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Experience in cGMP Pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Carries out analytical activities for pharmaceutical product support.
- Performs method development and validation projects.
- Provides GMP testing support for quality assurance.
- Plans and executes projects with minimal supervision.
- Trains and guides junior scientists.
Skills
Education
- With supervision, carries out analytical activities in support of the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products under supervision of other scientists in the department. These activities include raw material testing, in process testing, finished product testing, sample analysis, and physical evaluation of products.
- Method development and/or method validation projects are within the scope of this position.
- With supervision, provides GMP Testing support for quality assurance of products. This includes assisting in writing protocols and reports; ordering lab supplies.
- With supervision determines general approaches for assigned projects, then plans and executes work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Quality Systems such as Trackwise and able to execute steps in laboratory investigations.
- Provides training, instruction and guidance to junior level scientists.
- Perform environmental sampling and testing and perform microbial sampling testing activities within scheduled timelines.
- Maintain notebooks and files compliant with current GMPs and SOPs.
- Min Bachelor Degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or equivalent, preferably with 3-4 years of experience in cGMP Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical or related manufacturing environment and/ or related laboratory experience.
- Min Diploma in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology with minimal 8 years of related cGMP laboratory experience.
- Experience in conducting microbiological study, investigation and cost saving projects etc.
