Job description

The EHS Engineer will be responsible to ensure the site complies with all regulatory requirements as well as corporate safety standards in the workplace. The incumbent is expected to conduct effective safety training to employees.

Responsibilities
  • EHS Policy Implementation: Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and programs for compliance with local regulations and company standards.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Lead sustainability projects aligned with corporate goals, focusing on energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and emissions control.
  • Environmental Performance Tracking: Monitor and report environmental performance metrics, driving continuous improvement toward sustainability targets.
  • Audit and Verification Support: Assist with audit and verification processes to meet sustainability commitments.
  • Legislation and Standards Knowledge: Stay current with environmental legislation and sustainability standards.
  • Site EHS Program Support: Contribute to site EHS initiatives, including risk assessment, audits, incident investigation, reporting, and training.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in EHS roles with strong environmental and/or sustainability focus
  • Degree/ Diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering, WSH or related field
  • Good understanding of local EHS regulations and standards
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented and ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
