Reporting Structure
Report to Assistant Chief Executive of Corporate Development & Strategic Planning Cluster.
Key Responsibilities:
(A) Strategic Communications, Media Relations & Public Affairs
Develop and lead the implementation of a holistic communications strategy to enhance SAL’s visibility, brand equity, and influence.
Oversee the planning and execution of media relations campaigns and thought leadership content.
Set and monitor KPIs for communication effectiveness; provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to incorporate market insights and craft messaging that resonates with target audiences.
(B) Internal Communications
Champion a consistent and engaging internal communications framework that fosters transparency and employee engagement.
Oversee internal platforms and channels (e.g., intranet, newsletters, townhalls).
Measure and report on internal communication performance using data-driven metrics.
(C) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Lead the formulation and implementation of SAL’s CSR strategy and initiatives under the guidance of the CSR Committee, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
Oversee stakeholder partnerships, volunteer initiatives, and impact assessments.
(D) Legal Heritage Strategy
Guide strategic direction for legal heritage projects in collaboration with Academy Publishing.
Ensure the preservation, documentation, and promotion of Singapore’s legal heritage through creative storytelling and engagement formats.
(E) Strategic Initiatives & Ad Hoc Projects
Advise internal departments on high-impact event conceptualisation and strategic communications.
Qualifications & Experience:
A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in a strategic communications or public affairs role, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven track record in media strategy, stakeholder engagement, and managing high-impact communication campaigns.
Experience in CSR and/or heritage-related communications is an advantage.
Strategic thinker with strong leadership and team development skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including executive-level presentation skills.
Strong stakeholder management capabilities and political acumen.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in communication analytics, performance tracking, and reporting tools.
Creative, adaptable, and outcome-oriented.
