Record Assistant (Jurong East)
Job summary
A local staffing agency in Singapore is looking for candidates to develop and maintain inventory of physical records, conduct records appraisals, and support information discovery. Applicants should be effective in English and proficient in MS Office applications. Physical fitness is required to manage records. This position offers a 1-year contract with immediate start.
Qualifications
- Able to converse and write effectively in English.
- Proficient with MS Office applications such as Word, Excel etc.
- Physically fit and able to carry load of estimated 15 kg at a time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain inventory of physical records.
- Conduct records appraisals and manage transfers.
- Perform quality checks on digitised records.
Skills
Contract duration: 1 year contract (Immediate).
Working hours: 42 hours per week.
- Develop and maintain inventory of physical records to support stocktake, appraisal, accessioning, and disposal decisions.
- Conduct records appraisals, manage transfers, and ensure proper storage and preservation of official files.
- Support information discovery by performing quality checks on digitised records and developing resource guides for collections.
- Able to converse and write effectively in English
- Proficient with MS Office applications such as Word, Excel etc
- Physically fit and able to carry load of estimated 15 kg at a time (physical records kept in boxes)
- Ability to apply simple Excel formulas is a bonus
