Senior Accountant
Job summary
An international commodity trading company in Singapore is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting and lead a team. Ideal candidates have a degree in accounting, 3-5 years' experience, and strong analytical skills. Experience with SAP and prior audit experience with a Big4 firm is preferred. This role involves preparing financial statements and supporting audits.

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting.
- Prior audit experience with a Big4 accounting firm preferred.
- Able to work independently.

- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with SFRS.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for stakeholders.
- Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors.

We are an international commodity trading company based in Singapore looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Management team. This role is suitable for a finance or accounting professional with hands-on experience in financial reporting and audit under SFRS. You will be managing a team of accounts/finance executive and reporting directly to the CEO.
- Prepare monthly financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in accordance with SFRS.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support year-end audit processes; liaise with external auditors to resolve queries.
- Work with trading and shipping departments to prepare cash flow projections
- Develop internal financial controls and strategies
- Provide guidance and support to Finance/Accounts Executives.
- Degree in Accounting and/or ACCA / CA qualification.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting.
- Prior audit experience with a Big4 accounting firm preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in SAP and basic knowledge of shipping and incoterms
- Able to work independently.
