A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage a full set of accounts and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The successful candidate will lead a team, prepare financial statements, and work closely with auditors and regulators. Ideal for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and significant experience in financial analysis and reporting. The position offers a 5.5-day work week.
Accountant all aspects of accounting and in-charge of full set of accounts for Group and subsidiary accounts. The Accountant is responsible for all the daily activities of accounting and ensures that the Organisation's finance function is well organized, providing accurate financial statements and management accounts on time, thus achieving compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements.
The Accountant's role involves leading a team of finance accounting, admin specialists and working closely with internal and external auditors, bankers, and regulators. Accountant must keep current with changing statutory requirements and tax laws to determine the implications of such changes to financial reporting.
Accountant analyses data and understands the financial performance and position of the Organisation in order to develop suitable accounting policies to meet reporting requirements and to produce any special reports required by the management. Accountant may also work with the other department leaders to help define the Organisation's overall finance strategy.
