Role Summary

You will be responsible for defect reduction, monitoring inline defect performance and end of line yield, as well as leading yield improvement and inspection methodologies excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, qualify and sustain inline inspection and equipment to continually enhance defect detection capabilities
  • Pinpoint potential yield‑limiting defect sources and drive defect reduction roadmap for respective technology, program or related modules to improve production yield
  • Utilize statistical process control principles to maintain smooth operation and continually improve to prevent defect induced excursion events
  • Actively collaborate with integration, module engineering teams and suppliers to identify and eliminate defect sources; design and conduct experiments, analyze and extract insightful results from complex data sets to implement effective solutions
  • Responsible to Lead and Train Assistant Engineers to complete daily routine tasks for inline monitoring
  • Regular Customer Engagement meeting to report and drive indices
  • Innovate upon existing workflow and processes to drive excellence in manufacturing practices and automation
Education Qualification & Essential Experiences
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related STEM field
  • Minimum of at least 4 years of experience in KLA bright field, Darkfield, eBeam (eScan) and defect metrology tools and inline applications of these tools to monitor and detect root causes in a high‑volume advanced manufacturing fab
Preferred Experience
  • Relevant experience in application for auto defect classification (ADC) through machine learning and/or AI modelling.
  • Highly proficient in Data Analytics / Intelligence tools (PBI) to uncover insights, identify trends to drive decision making.
  • Relevant experience to create recipes for all defect inspection tool types (Brightfield, Darkfield).
  • Proven experience in designing and developing a comprehensive defect source and tool fingerprint libraries. Skilled in building and refining databases to track and categorize historical cases and generate identifiers from tools for effective troubleshooting.
