Job summary

UNITED OVERSEAS BANK LIMITED in Singapore seeks an experienced software development leader to drive end-to-end delivery of banking applications. You will guide a technical team, participate in design reviews, and ensure architecture conformity with policies and standards.

Strong expertise in agile practices, system design, and regulatory reporting is required. You will manage vendor relationships and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-availability solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
• 5+ years in application development and maintenance with full SDLC.
• Experience delivering banking systems and working with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for end-to-end software development engineering, from pre-project initiation to testing and support.
• Lead and manage a technical team focused on delivering banking systems and solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Participate in application design, development and reviews to ensure alignment with architecture and standards.
• Analyze impacts on current systems, research problems, design and implement optimal solutions.
• Stay updated with technology trends to introduce new processes and products.
• Develop and maintain documentation including SOPs and System Architecture Guides.
• Ensure oversight on deliverables and conformance to quality standards, including vendor deliverables.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams on technical delivery.
• Participate in agile rituals: design, planning, estimation, daily standups.
• Streamline deployment processes and help formulate deployment plans.
• Address technical debt with zero production impact and root-cause analysis.
• Adopt data-driven problem-trend analysis and permanent fixes.
