Job summary

UNITED OVERSEAS BANK LIMITED seeks an experienced software engineering lead to own end-to-end development, from initiation to support, and to lead a technical team delivering banking solutions. The role requires strong architecture, design and regulatory delivery capabilities, plus excellent collaboration with vendors and internal teams.

A focus on modern development practices and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or any related field.
At least 5 years of experience in application development and maintenance with full software development life cycle experience
Strong experience in technical delivery and/or technology implementation
Experience with Waterfall / Agile best practices and methods such as Scrum, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development
Solid experience in solutioning and system design.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for end-to-end software development engineering including initiation, requirements, design, development, testing and support.
Lead and manage a technical team delivering banking systems aligned with business objectives.
Participate in application technical design, development and review to ensure compliance with architecture and standards.
Analyze impacts on current systems, research problems, design and implement optimal solutions.
Maintain awareness of latest tech trends to introduce new processes and products.
Develop and maintain documentation including SOPs and System Architecture Guides and Diagrams.
