Job summary

UNITED OVERSEAS BANK LIMITED seeks an experienced Technical Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale projects within banking applications. You will drive data-centric discussions with vendors, technology teams and user groups, and coordinate multi-vendor efforts to meet scope, timelines and budgets.

The role requires a strong background in SDLC and Agile, plus outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or other relevant disciplines; PMP certification preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience delivering projects in full Software Development Life Cycle / Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; coordinating multiple stakeholders in a diverse organization.
• Be a self-starter, able to work independently and within ambiguity.
• Able to see end-to-end closure of issues with execution focus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the successful execution and technical delivery of projects meeting scope, timeline and budget.
• Drive data, design and solution discussions with vendor, technology team and user groups.
• Lead multi-vendor teams to deliver solutions and manage relationships across business lines and external parties.
• Provide status updates related to technical delivery to Project Manager.
• Partner with Solution and Enterprise Architects to deliver technical innovations from concepts to working solutions.
• Ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles and security standards.
• Work with Test manager to formulate comprehensive system test plans aligned with scope and quality targets.
• Identify and raise risks and issues affecting the project and manage them with timely escalation.
• Organise and chair governance meetings, including preparation of materials and minutes.
