Job summary

UNITED OVERSEAS BANK LIMITED is seeking an experienced software engineering leader to own the end-to-end development lifecycle for banking systems. You will lead a technical team, align solutions with business objectives, and ensure architecture conformance across design, development, and deployment.

You will analyze current systems, implement optimal solutions, and maintain thorough documentation while coordinating with vendors and internal teams in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in application development and maintenance with full SDLC.
• Experience in technical delivery/technology implementation.
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile (Scrum, CI, TDD).
• Strong delivery and project management for regulatory reporting in Asia.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software development lifecycle from initiation to support.
• Lead technical team delivering banking systems and solutions aligned to business objectives.
• Participate in design, development and review; ensure conformity to architecture and standards.
• Analyze impacts on current systems; research, design and implement optimal solutions.
• Maintain documentation (SOPs, System Architecture) per templates and standards.
• Oversee technical deliverables from internal teams and vendors; ensure quality.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams on delivery; participate in agile rituals.
• Streamline deployment processes and plan implementation.
• Identify and fix technical debt with zero production impact.
• Apply data-driven analysis to identify root causes and resolve recurring issues.
