The Role
The Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for driving the expression of the Charlotte Tilbury brand across Southeast Asia and India. This role leads the adaptation and implementation of global visual merchandising strategies, ensuring brand consistency while tailoring executions to the needs of diverse local markets. The role requires strong creative judgment, operational discipline and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders including retailers, suppliers, and cross functional teams in a fast paced environment. The role reports into the Senior Store Design and Visual Merchandising Manager for SEA and works closely with Global and APAC VM and Store Design teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Visual Merchandising Leadership
- Interpret global VM strategies and translate them into regionally relevant executions for campaigns, new launches and seasonal activations
- Independently propose, adapt and refine visual concepts to reflect market needs, product mix, and consumer preferences
- Manage visual merchandising standards across all retail environments including free standing stores, department store counters, Sephora gondolas, multi brand boutiques
Planning and Execution
- Consolidate commercial and marketing launch calendars across SEA and India to plan VM needs and timelines, including trade and PR events
- Lead planning and execution of campaign rollouts including ordering of display elements, production of visual assets and installation coordination
- Develop and maintain planograms and merchandising plates aligned with global guidelines and local assortment strategies
- Create store opening VM plans and guideline packs for new boutique and counter launches
Supplier and Retailer Management
- Manage relationships with retailers and all external vendors including design studios, fabrication partners, installation crews and print houses
- Prepare supplier briefs, review drawings and prototypes, and oversee production to ensure brand quality and finishing standards
- Negotiate supplier timelines, cost quotations and service scopes to safeguard project budgets and delivery requirements
- Conduct on site supervision of installation where required
Store Standards and Training
- Conduct regular store visits to audit standards, identify brand expression gaps and propose continuous improvements
- Lead VM training and capability building for field and retail teams to ensure consistent on counter execution and brand storytelling
Budgeting and Administration
- Manage the VM budget for SEA and India including project cost planning, PO processing and invoice tracking
- Maintain accurate inventory of VM fixtures, display elements and reusable furniture
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Store Design, Marketing, Commercial, Education and Retail Operations teams to align messaging, assortment, and execution priorities
- Liaise with Global VM teams to share insights, provide feedback and request region specific adaptations
Some attributes we are looking for
- Degree in Visual Merchandising, Retail Design, Architecture, Interior Design or related design field preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in visual merchandising or store experience design, preferably within beauty, luxury or lifestyle retail
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and AutoCAD or equivalent 3D modelling and technical drawing tools
- Strong aesthetic judgment and brand sensitivity with an ability to balance design expression, operational practicality and commercial needs
- Proven experience managing suppliers, production processes and multi market retail executions
- Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple timelines and stakeholders
- Effective communicator able to influence internal and external partners at different levels
- Fluent in English
