A leading financial services firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to lead financial transaction management and support syndication processes. This role requires a minimum of 9 years in Banking and Finance, with a solid understanding of capital markets and strong interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for fostering relationships with investors, managing transaction risks, and contributing to the firm's growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or CFA certification and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of investor and SF sponsor requirements in terms of risk appetite, structure and pricing in order to assess and take underwriting risk and ensure a successful syndication of all PF transactions.
Maintain strong understanding of SF fundamentals (structure, financial model, due diligence, documentation)
Production and maintenance of high-quality market research on pricing, participations, deal structures and investor activity as required for tailor-made client presentations, pitches, underwriting/stretch hold applications as well as thought leadership
Provide support to senior origination team members in opportunity identification, financial analysis, pricing and liquidity insights, as well as syndication/execution strategy
Oversee preparation of underwriting applications, deal screening support memos and other internal requirements to facilitate seamless deal execution
Play a lead role in “stretch hold” transactions where MUFG actively manages its SF assets to select investors post financial close. This covers the deal origination phase (i.e. determining pricing and appetite) through to distribution (client and investor interaction, Q&A and settlement)
Drive various SF initiatives to deliver on the team’s revenue goals, including evaluating bespoke deal opportunities, new distribution pathways and emerging business lines (e.g. ratings advisory, project bonds)
Collaborate with MUFG distribution teams and other regional and global syndicate teams to obtain latest market insights and drive MUFG’s O&D strategy
Work in partnership with colleagues across all regions (within both CMG and Project Finance, GAFO, Real Estate, ECTFD, Fund Finance) to develop and broaden the overall relationship with core clients by providing high quality support and product interface with regards to capital markets (Loans and Bonds) financing opportunities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and build relationships throughout MUFG to establish a peer network to ensure appropriate engagement and support to develop, secure and maximise product opportunities, gather relevant information and help to ensure effective inter-departmental collaboration.
Develop and maintain effective relationship with counterparts in other banking institutions as well as financial sponsors to maximise market profile, origination opportunities as well as deal efficiency and collaboration opportunities
Develop a practical understanding of all core systems and procedures within Capital Markets with a view to implement efficiencies and improvements where possible.
Contribute to build MUFG’s brand within the SF segments to generate a pipeline of deal flow consistent with our sector vertical approach, target size range and geographic focus
