Job Purpose
Responsible for defining the vision, roadmap, and business value of agentic platform and AI‑enhanced capabilities that support onboarding and associated operations, risk, and compliance processes. This role combines strategic product leadership with essential hands‑on Product Owner responsibilities, ensuring that high‑impact initiatives are shaped, prioritised, and delivered effectively.
The role partners closely with internal users, design teams, engineering teams, delivery teams and cross‑functional stakeholders to design intuitive, scalable, and efficient internal systems. While primarily focused on product strategy, value creation, and journey optimisation, the role also provides sufficient requirements clarity and sprint input to ensure timely delivery.
The role will primarily focus on strategy and evolution of AI/ML/Gen‑AI/Agentic capabilities supporting onboarding and internal workflows. Drive adoption of AI‑powered automation, reasoning, and decision‑support ensuring AI outputs are safe, compliant, explainable, and aligned to internal policies.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Planning
- Conduct discovery of AI use cases across onboarding journeys
- Translate policy, regulatory, and risk rules into machine‑interpretable logic for agent reasoning
- Develop AI capability roadmaps including new agents, reasoning chains, and tool integration
- Support research with internal users to identify gaps, pain points, and opportunities
- Prioritise features based on business value, regulatory need, and delivery feasibility
- Prepare roadmap presentations, rationales, and business cases
Requirements & Backlog Contribution
- Partner with data science to define model behaviour expectations, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks.
- Partner with data science to shape prompts, reasoning flows, retrieval logic and agent task boundaries
- Specify integration requirements for AI agents within onboarding journeys and supporting products
- Draft high‑level EPICs and features; provide detailed input to delivery teams; write or co‑write user stories when necessary
- Review completed work to ensure it meets product expectations
Delivery, Execution & Continuous Improvement
- Validate AI agent outputs for accuracy, bias, explainability, and policy alignment.
- Work with squads to ensure clear understanding of goals and context
- Address requirements questions throughout sprints
- Conduct post‑release evaluation and user feedback cycles
User Engagement & Experience Design
- Run AI‑specific usability sessions to understand agent effectiveness, trust, and potential failure
- Collect structured feedback on hallucinations, clarity of explanations, and interaction patterns.
- Define human‑in‑the‑loop user experience
- Conduct interviews, workshops to identify and validate product roadmap and requirements with target users and relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with Product Managers and UX/UI teams to design intuitive experiences and validate usability with target users
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with support functions, data, technology and business to ensure end‑to‑end readiness
- Communicate roadmap changes, scope updates, and delivery timelines
- Manage expectations and negotiate priority trade‑offs
Governance & Documentation
- Ensure traceability of requirements for audit/regulatory review
- Support risk assessments, control design, and policy interpretation
- Document processes, workflows, training and release notes
Journey & Product Subject Matter Expert
- Act as SME for AI agent capabilities across onboarding journeys
- Provide AI expertise during policy translation, journey mapping, and product design
- Maintain a deep understanding of end‑to‑end onboarding flows, including processes, personas, data, regulatory requirements, and system interactions
- Ensure product decisions align with the broader onboarding journey vision and cross‑product consistency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Finance, or related fields; certifications in Agile are advantageous
- 4–10 years experience ideally in Product Management (PM) or Product Owner (PO) role
- Minimum 3 years experience in banking, preferably wealth management
- Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, RAG, agentic frameworks
- Experience partnering with data scientists, ML engineers, prompt engineering and AI governance
- Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with LLMs, vector stores, retrieval pipelines, orchestration frameworks, and guardrail systems.
- Understanding of how agents use tools
- Understanding of model evaluation metrics (precision/recall, hallucination rate, explainability).
- Ability to translate business needs into requirements
- Comfort working with APIs, microservices, data flows, and digital UX patterns
- Understanding of KYC/AML, onboarding, or regulated financial services processes preferred
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
- Excellent communication: able to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences
- Comfort working with emerging technology and ambiguous decision‑making contexts.
- Ability to translate AI behaviour and limitations into language business and educate stakeholders on AI capabilities and risk
