Tan Phi Funds Management is a licensed venture capital fund manager under the Monetary Authority of Singapore. We invest in fast growth technology companies from early‑stage venture through to late‑stage / pre‑IPO opportunities and support them in scaling across Asia.

Key Responsibilities
Fund Raising, Deal Sourcing & Origination
  • Source investment funds and proprietary investment opportunities via your network of family offices, sponsors, developers, GPs, and financial intermediaries.
  • Identify trends, sectors, and geographies aligned with the platform’s investment theses.
  • Initiate and maintain strategic relationships with investors, developers, and other industry stakeholders.
Due Diligence, Underwriting & Execution
  • Lead due diligence processes with internal and external advisors across legal, tax, and technical domains.
  • Structure investment terms across primary and secondary markets.
  • Present investment opportunities to the investment committee and drive transaction execution.
  • Coordinate with partners and stakeholders, actively participate in the capital raising process.
  • Support capital structure optimization, follow‑on financing, and exit strategy planning in collaboration with partners.
Platform Development
  • Contribute to refining the execution process, playbooks, and internal reporting frameworks.
  • Team work with team members and support scalable team processes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or higher degrees in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Technology or related discipline.
  • Professional designation such as CFA or CPA preferred.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
    • Family office, VC, PE, Private credit or related field
    • Investment banking (TMT / tech coverage preferred)
    • Strategy / corporate development / finance at a high‑growth tech company.
  • Direct investment expertise with end‑to‑end deal experience.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills (Excel required; Python/SQL a plus).
  • Solid understanding of venture and pre‑IPO deal mechanics (cap tables, term sheets, liquidation preferences, secondary transactions, fund structures).

  • High Work output with Creativity: High degree of proactivity and ability to think out of the box to connect the dots and form pictures from incomplete data.

  • Focus: ability to scan widely and yet identify key areas to focus on with a view to deal closing is crucial.
