A financial services provider in Singapore is seeking a finance professional to oversee financial operations including processing invoices, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance, with experience in finance operations. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in ERP systems like NetSuite are essential. This role offers an opportunity to work in a structured environment and contribute to a governmental institution.
Oversee and assist in the raising and processing of invoices through TenderBoard.
Manage and coordinate with outsourced accounting vendor to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing of management accounts.
Review supporting documents for payments to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies.
Review GST and withholding tax treatments and ensure accuracy of tax reporting, including timely submissions to IRAS.
Coordinate and process budget transfers in Netsuite, ensuring adequate budget availability and adherence to approved budget controls.
Prepare and review quarterly budget-to-actual variance analysis with clear commentary.
Support annual budget exercises, including preparation of budget instruction materials and consolidation for management review.
Provide coordination and support for internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of schedules and documentation.
Oversee issuance of donation receipts in compliance with IPC regulations.
Assist with and coordinate IRAS submissions related to donations.
Coordinate Finance Committee meetings, including preparation of papers, agenda management, accurate minute-taking, and tracking of follow-up action items.
Proactively identify, recommend, and support process improvements, automation opportunities, and productivity enhancements within Finance.
Support Finance-led projects, including system enhancements, process reviews, and cross-functional initiatives.
Assist in conducting finance-related briefings and training sessions to enhance staff financial literacy.
Perform other ad-hoc duties and special assignments as directed to support departmental and organisational objectives.
Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Prior experience in finance operations, donations accounting, or public / non-profit sector preferred
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite), TenderBoard, and DBS IDEAL is an advantage
Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team in a structured environment
