About the Role

Innovation is at the core of this team, and the UI/UX Designer must understand the problem space being addressed. The team supports innovation initiatives such as incubators, hackathons, design challenges, and other large-scale programmes, powered by an internal web platform.

About the Platform
The platform is an innovation and crowdsourcing tool that empowers users to ideate, collaborate, and drive digital transformation. It supports hackathons, ideathons, and AI-driven tools that help turn ideas into impactful solutions. In this role, you will help shape a platform that fosters creativity, increases engagement, and strengthens adoption across various stakeholders.

We are looking for a UI/UX Developer to enhance the platform’s user experience. This role focuses on creating intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling interfaces that drive participation and collaboration. You will conduct user research, streamline workflows, design user interfaces, optimise navigation, and produce visual assets such as EDMs and campaign materials. Additionally, you may support programme activities such as coordinating hackathons, sharing sessions, and showcase events to drive awareness and participation.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Design & Development

• Conduct design research on business problems or opportunities by:
  • Drafting research scope (user research, market research)
  • Executing research plans
  • Producing research reports
• Design and implement responsive, accessible UI components for the platform.
• Integrate UX principles into front-end development aligned with preferred development frameworks.

User Research & Usability

• Apply interaction design principles where user stories are translated into flows and wireframes to:
  • Understand users and requirements
  • Visualise and design key user flows, pathways, and interaction elements
  • Recruit users and conduct reviews, surveys, and usability testing
• Use insights to refine platform navigation, discoverability, and engagement.

Visual Communication

• Create visually compelling EDMs, banners, and design elements for platform campaigns and programme initiatives.
• Maintain consistent branding and enhance visual communication for innovation-related events and activities.

Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers, developers, and content teams.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to iterative improvements.

Requirements

Technical & Design Skills

• Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience in UI/UX-related work.
• Strong experience in qualitative and quantitative user research.
• Proficiency in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Ability to create visually appealing assets for digital campaigns.
• Understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to conduct user research and lead co-creation workshops.
• Interest in validating concepts through storyboards and prototypes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to present ideas clearly and influence stakeholders.
• Sharp analytical thinking and strong design judgement.
• Preferably experience with crowdsourcing platforms or community engagement tools.
