Job summary

A leading aerospace service provider in Singapore is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE) to perform routine aircraft maintenance and ensure compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and be willing to commit to a 36-month training program followed by a 5-year bond. The role offers hands-on experience and opportunities for career growth in the aviation sector.

Qualifications

  • Minimum full time Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Training period is 36 months (inclusive of on-the-job training).
  • Trainees will be bonded for the duration of training and 5 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance & rectification of aircraft defects.
  • Ensure all work complies with maintenance data and authority requirements.
  • Conduct aircraft release to service certification (CRS).
  • Assist in forecasting manpower, spares & equipment needs.
  • Ensure safety precautions are observed.
  • Assist in incident/accident investigations.
  • Maintain tools & equipment properly.
  • Ensure aircraft maintenance is on schedule.
  • Supervise and control staff.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Duties of an LAE

Job Description

  • Day to day routine maintenance & rectification of aircraft defects
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with approved maintenance data, company, authority and customers’ requirements
  • Performing aircraft release to service certification (CRS) for maintenance and repair of aircraft according to the Company authorization issued by Quality Department
  • Assisting in the forecasting of manpower, spares & equipment needs
  • Ensuring that all staff under his control observes safety precautions, reporting of unsafe working condition & operation
  • Assisting in the investigation of incident/accident reports and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Ensuring that tools & equipment under his control are properly maintained, calibrated and correctly used for the jobs
  • Ensuring action is taken at all times to maintain the aircraft on schedule
  • General supervision, control & discipline of staff under his charge
  • Performing other duties, as and when required

Requirements:

  • Minimum full time Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Training period is 36 months (inclusive of on-the-job training)
  • Trainees will be bonded for the duration of training and 5 years thereafter
  • Training programme will commence in October 2025
