Accountability
This role provides technical solutions and manages product development projects at the customer in Southeast Asia, South Korea, and Australia to deliver customer needs and lead to growth in operating income for Lubrizol Additives. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of managing multiple technical projects, have strong interpersonal and communications skills, and work well in teams. This role will support on both Driveline and Industrial (IGO, HY and Grease) with focused on Industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of Lubrizol products and technology as well as industrial fundamentals to enable technology-based customer engagement and collaboration.
- Provide technical support and resolve application issues for assigned customers and OEMs.
- Translate customer technical needs into technical plan then lead team to implement that project plan in timely, cost-efficient manner.
- In-depth study of technological needs for various industrial applications and translate into design parameters and performance evaluation protocols.
- Project planning, define project scope, objectives, milestones, resources and economics. Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure resource allocation and project success.
- Effectively communicate project status to customer teams and department in assigned project areas.
- Accurately collate, interpret, and present data.
- Represent Lubrizol’s interest at industry forums as required.
- Develop and deliver impactful sales and customer training.
Requirements – Education, Experience, Skills
Education & Professional Background
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or chemistry preferred.
- Preferred at least 5 years of technical service experience in Chemical industry. Preference in Industrial application area.
- Effective project management experience, including project economics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Flexibility to participate in teleconferences scheduled outside standard business hours.
- Ability to travel.
Knowledge & Skills
- Technical skills to assist external customers and sales with performance or specification related queries.
- Fluency in oral and written English is essential.
- Good presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong listening skills. Ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences (internal & external customers).
- Experience with managing projects and organizing significant volume of work.
- Experience in prioritizing initiatives and managing customers.
