Business Function

Group Technology enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of people related programmes/initiatives, including talent management, learning and development. This includes defining strategy, objectives & outcomes, approach & methodologies as well as establishing governance framework and tools across technology units.
  • Partner Learning & Development team and Technology SMEs to drive technology competency across teams, ensure fit for role.
    • Talent & Skill Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive tech skills development strategy to build a future ready technology workforce that is continuously upskilling and reskilling, resilient and transformative.
    • Technology Skills Gap Analysis: Conduct regular assessments to identify skill gaps and learning requirements with tech units including emerging technologies (e.g. Gen AI, cloud computing and cybersecurity) and industry best practices.
    • Technology-Specific Curriculum Development and Certification: Design and deliver role-based learning pathways and certification programmes, career pathway framework to strengthen “fit for role” competencies.
  • Refresh the Technology Employee Proposition (EVP), develop communication plan to drive awareness and articulate the value proposition to technology employees. Some key focus areas are:
    • Distinguished Engineer Programme (DEP): Make DEP title highy soughted after and coveted, similar to Managing Director title in general management for career growth. Increase awareness bankwide to ramp up prestige and prominence of DEP.
    • Career Pathway: Ramp up awareness of potential career possibilities and progression routes to empower technology staff to chart their career pathways
    • Stakeholder Management: Present the strategy and initiative plans in a clear and concise manner to key stakeholders and senior management for decision making.
  • Track initiative/programmme status and provide progress updates regularly to stakeholders. Highlight risks and issues, if any. Measure effectives of programmes using appropriate metrics to ensure benefits are realised.
  • As lead team, provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff to help uplift the skills of others in the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 15+ years of experience preferably with exposure in Banking and Finance industry and Technology environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years' experience in developing and implementing competency frameworks and programmes.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Detailed and meticulous with strong data analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-driven, resourceful and able to multi-task.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Power point skills.
