Our client is one of the largest trading companies in Japan, they provide materials/components for automobile-related products. They are currently looking for Supply Chain Coordinators due to their business expansion.

Reporting to: Manager

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and negotiate with internal and external parties (customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, etc.).
• Arrange daily shipments, including PO generation and submission, SAP input, sailing schedule coordination, and invoice & BL verification.
• Manage supplier and customer relationships, including order backlog and forecast management.
• Travel as required on a case-by-case basis.
• Control inventory for temporary and BCP stock.
• Analyze cargo and logistics costs to ensure cost awareness and efficiency.

Requirements & Preferences

Must

• Diploma in Supply Chain or similar with 3 years experience as a Supply Chain Coordinator from a Trading Company
• Proven experience in generation, issuing & processing a high volume of POs (more than 100 per month)
• Has experience in liaising with suppliers, forwarders, and customers daily (such as import and export)
• Strong knowledge in Import / Export (Incoterms / Invoice & packing list are required)
• Comfortable with overtime and overseas travel (around twice a year), mainly in the SEA region (i.e. Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam)
• Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel, is required
• Fluent in English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin stakeholders

Advantageous

• Experience working in a Japanese company or high interest in working in a Japanese company
