Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is recruiting for a school-based role focused on student support and conduct management. Responsibilities include fact-finding, case documentation, and engaging students to reach constructive outcomes.

You will assist the Year Head with interviews, information review, and restorative conversations when appropriate, while maintaining professional boundaries with children and coordinating with parents as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Social Work / Psychology / Counselling or related discipline.
• At least 2 years' experience with children or youths in school, youth, community, or social-service settings.
• Experience in student discipline, case management, restorative practices, counselling or youth mentoring.
• Ability to build rapport with primary-school-aged children while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Ability to stay calm, impartial and non-judgmental in conflicts and emotionally charged situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with concise case notes.

Responsibilities

• Fact-finding: gather accounts from students and witnesses to build a clear picture.
• Case inquiry and documentation: assist Year Head; interviews and review materials; no disciplinary decisions.
• Student engagement: relate to students and build rapport for positive outcomes.
• Restorative and conflict-resolution: facilitate conversations when appropriate.
• Parent engagement: communicate with parents with factual updates; do not commit on behalf of the school.
• Escalation: promptly raise concerns involving safety to Year Head or designated staff.
• Student supervision: maintain presence during recess, exams, detention and movement.
• Record-keeping: keep case notes and provide progress updates to Year Head.
• Detention supervision: supervise detention and ensure orderly conduct; refer concerns as needed.
