Job summary

DYNAMIC SAFETY PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated professional to provide one-to-one emotional and behavioural support to primary school students in Singapore.

You will use active listening and restorative practices to promote resilience and monitor wellbeing. Collaborating with Year Heads, Counsellors and staff, you will identify at-risk students, maintain confidential records and communicate with parents when required.

Qualifications

• Strong empathy and interpersonal skills to build trust with students.
• Good communication and active listening skills.
• Comfortable working with primary school students aged 7–12.
• Calm, patient and composed when handling student meltdowns.
• Basic conflict resolution and behaviour management skills.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in primary school student well-being, pastoral care or behavioural support; OR 2 years’ experience in counselling, mentoring or guiding primary school students with social-emotional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one emotional and behavioural support to students.
• Use active listening, restorative practices and de-escalation strategies.
• Build trusting relationships and promote emotional regulation and resilience.
• Identify, monitor and support students who may be vulnerable or at risk.
• Conduct regular check-ins and monitor students’ behaviour, attendance and well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student cases and interventions.
• Respond to emotional crises, conflicts and behavioural incidents.
• Support SEL and peer support programmes.
• Work closely with Year Heads, School Counsellors and Discipline staff.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student well-being when required.
• Coordinate with external agencies and professionals when additional support is needed.
