Job summary

The role focuses on strengthening capacity to handle peer conflicts, reported bullying, and student conduct, working with Form Teachers and Year Heads to facilitate early intervention and positive student development.

You will gather objective accounts, document cases, support restorative practices, engage with parents, supervise during recess and exams, and escalate

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work, Education.
• Proven experience with children or youth preferred (2+ years).
• Strong listening and communication skills; maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Fact-Finding and Inquiry: gather objective accounts from students and witnesses to form an unbiased picture.
• Case Documentation: conduct interviews and maintain case notes to support the Year Head; no disciplinary determinations by this role.
• Conflict Resolution and Restorative Practice: facilitate restorative conversations between primary students under guidance.
• Parent Engagement: provide clear, factual updates to parents/guardians.
• Campus Vigilance and Supervision: ensure safety during recess, detentions, exams, and transitions.
• Critical Escalation: identify and escalate serious safety indicators to school leadership.
