Job summary

Dynamic Human Capital Pte Ltd is hiring a School Support Officer to engage with students, gather information, and assist the Year Head in maintaining safety and wellbeing. This is a 2 months contract with specific school guidance responsibilities.

You will build rapport with primary school students, document case notes, assist in restorative conversations, and escalate concerns promptly, under supervision of teachers and administrators.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in social work, psychology, counselling, youth work, education or related field.
• Preferably 2 years of experience with children or youths.
• Experience in schools, youth work or case management is preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with primary school students while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to elevate serious concerns promptly.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from students and witnesses regarding incidents or concerns.
• Support the Year Head with case inquiries, interviews, documentation and follow-ups.
• Build rapport and engage students in a supportive and constructive manner.
• Facilitate restorative conversations and conflict resolution when appropriate.
• Assist teachers and Year Heads in communicating factual updates to parents.
• Escalate serious safety, well-being or misconduct concerns promptly.
• Supervise students during recess, examinations, detention and student movement.
• Maintain accurate case notes and provide regular progress updates.
• Monitor detention attendance, behaviour and significant incidents.
