Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Contract School Behavioural Officer to conduct investigations into student incidents, obtain statements, and prepare reports for leadership. You will supervise detention sessions, monitor compliance, and maintain strict confidentiality of student information.

The role requires at least 3 years in a uniformed service, experience with restorative practices, and strong communication and data-entry skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' working experience in a uniformed service background (e.g. Police, Prison Service or equivalent), with involvement in youth-related case investigations
• Experience in restorative practice and behavioural intervention
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multitask, work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary investigations and fact-finding interviews for minor student incidents
• Obtain student/witness statements, compile evidence and prepare incident reports for school leadership
• Update parents on the progress and outcome of investigations
• Supervise students in Behavioural Detention Class (BDC) and Corrective Work Order (CWO) sessions
• Follow up with form teachers on students who miss assigned detention
• Support students on in-house/internal suspension, including liaising with form teachers to maintain learning continuity
• Perform data entry for late-coming records, offences and interventions
• Compile weekly/monthly discipline statistics
• Assist in monitoring student reporting channels
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student information
• Support review of detention, late-coming and corrective work processes during school holidays
• Perform other administrative/operational duties related to student management as assigned
