Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a School Discipline & Pastoral Support Officer in Sengkang. The role involves fact-finding, investigations, and coordinating pastoral care for students under 16 with behavioural or social-emotional needs.

Responsibilities include handling difficult conversations, documenting cases, liaising with parents, and supporting safety plans and restorative processes within the school environment.

Qualifications

• Calm under pressure while handling challenging situations with stakeholders and students.
• Able to engage positively with children under 16 and support behavioural development.
• Passionate about youths with behavioural or social-emotional challenges.
• Confident in managing difficult conversations and investigations.
• Comfortable writing reports and maintaining confidential documentation.
• Familiar with restorative practices and case management processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the discipline team in fact-finding and investigations of misconduct in line with school guidelines.
• Document findings accurately and maintain proper records for reference.
• Monitor and follow up on offenders; address uniforms and grooming with parents.
• Oversee school discipline during assigned hours and supervise in-school activities.
• Engage pupils in pastoral care and surface early warning signs to staff.
• Support safety plans and monitor student well-being after incidents.
• Facilitate restorative conversations and provide counselling support where appropriate.
• Communicate with parents and liaise with external agencies when needed.
