Job summary

GAIN EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Student Support Officer to enable smooth school operations and positive student outcomes. You will support daily discipline management, conduct investigations, mentor students, and maintain accurate records with confidentiality and professional conduct.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, PDPA compliance, and effective communication with youths and parents. The contract runs for nine months with term-time hours aligned to the school schedule.

Qualifications

• It is preferred to have relevant qualifications or certifications in youth work or related fields.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of working experience in discipline management, case management, or behaviour support involving youths.
• Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills with youths and adults.
• Possesses effective strategies to guide and mentor students with disciplinary issues, e.g. experience with applying restorative practices or structured behaviour management frameworks.
• Demonstrates emotional resilience and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations professionally and engage students and parents from diverse backgrounds in a fair and culturally respectful manner.
• Good communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Discipline Management: Support daily discipline operations, including managing latecomers and suspensions.
• Case Management: Conduct investigations into incidents and follow up with students and parents.
• Student Guidance & Mentoring: Guide and mentor students with disciplinary issues; monitor progress.
• Record-Keeping and Documentation: Maintain records using Microsoft Office for incident reports and case documentation.
• Safeguarding and Emergency Protocols: Follow safeguarding protocols and escalate concerns promptly.
• Confidentiality and Data Protection: Handle student and family information with strict confidentiality.
• Adhoc Duties: Perform other student management or school operation duties as assigned.
