Job description

As the Strategic Products & Procurement Lead, you will play a dual role in shaping our digital future and safeguarding our operational integrity. You will be responsible for the strategic roadmap of our core commerce technologies—including our Order Management System (OMS), eCommerce website, and mobile applications—while simultaneously leading the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for various strategic services (IT and non-IT related).

The ideal candidate is a unique blend of a Technical Product Manager/ownerand a Strategic Sourcing Expert, capable of translating business needs into product features while ensuring all vendor partnerships are commercially sound and legally secure.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap Management
  • Vision & Execution:Define and drive the multi-year feature roadmap for the Order Management System (OMS), eCommerce platform, mobile apps, AI services, and other extensions. Ensuring interconnectivity and end-to-end integration of ecosystem. Plan and map detailed implementation of AI applications and UI/UX development.
  • Stakeholder Alignment:Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to prioritize features that enhance user experience and backend efficiency.
  • Lifecycle Management:Oversee the development process from conceptualization through to launch, ensuring products remain competitive and scalable.
  • Data-Driven Insights:Use performance metrics and market trends to inform product pivots and enhancements. Ability to implement dashboards and analytics tools into business process.
IT Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Strategic Sourcing:Lead the selection process for vendors, SaaS providers, and external service partners.
  • Performance Oversight:Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, holding them accountable to high-performance standards and service levels (SLAs).
  • Vendor Ecosystem Optimization:Continuously evaluate the vendor landscape to consolidate services where possible and reduce redundant spending.
Contract Negotiation & Risk Mitigation
  • Contractual Excellence:Lead the review and negotiation of Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Risk Safeguarding:Identify potential contractual liabilities and ensure the company is protected regarding data privacy, IP ownership, and termination rights.
  • Commercial Optimization:Negotiate pricing structures and renewal terms to ensure maximum ROI on all investments and partnerships.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience:7+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, IT Procurement, or a similar hybrid role within the eCommerce/logistics/Retail space. Minimum 2 years operational experience preferred.
  • Technical Literacy:Deep understanding of eCommerce architectures, API integrations, Order Management workflows, and Dashboard implementation (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Contract/Legal Acumen:Proven ability to read, interpret, and redline complex contracts; familiarity with GDPR/CCPA and data security standards is a plus.
  • Negotiation Experience:Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable commercial and legal terms.
  • Communication:Ability to bridge the gap between highly technical developers and non-technical business stakeholders. Able to switch between tech, financial, and marketing modes of communication.
