Job summary

PERSOL Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional to develop and execute strategic sales plans, expand the customer base, and strengthen market presence in the freight forwarding sector.

You will act as the primary contact for client accounts, negotiate contracts, monitor key metrics, and identify growth opportunities across existing accounts, with occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of business development or sales experience in freight forwarding
• Diploma/degree in logistics or supply chain management or equivalent
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Experience handling chemical industry clients is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase market presence.
• Represent the organization with in-depth knowledge of service offerings to engage internal and external partners.
• Conduct market research to align our solutions with consumer needs, generating leads and cultivating client relationships.
• Serve as the primary contact for client accounts, ensuring excellent account management and oversight of customer relations.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize profitability while ensuring timely delivery of services according to client requirements.
• Monitor and report on key account metrics, collaborating with stakeholders to communicate progress on initiatives.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth within existing accounts, enhancing overall client satisfaction.
