Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics is seeking a seasoned Cross-Border Road Freight Lead in Singapore. You will oversee daily cross-border freight operations, including planning and monitoring movements between Singapore and Malaysia, while ensuring regulatory compliance and service excellence.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or cross-border trucking operations.
Knowledge of Singapore–Malaysia cross-border procedures and customs regulations.
Familiarity with TradeNet and/or customs declaration systems.
Strong coordination and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Effective negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
People management skills are required.
Knowledge of HS codes and tariff classifications.
Familiarity with GPS tracking systems or TMS.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily cross-border freight operations and domestic trucking.
Manage end-to-end road freight planning, scheduling and monitoring.
Plan and optimize truck movements between Singapore, Malaysia, and other countries.
Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
Ensure compliance with SLAs and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate customs clearance with brokers and authorities.
Maintain documentation, permits, and licenses.
Stay updated on customs, transport, and trade regulations.
Ensure cross-border compliance for Singapore and partner country regulations.
Monitor shipment status and resolve delays or issues.
Build relationships with trucking companies and transport partners.
Negotiate transportation rates and service agreements.
Monitor vendor performance against KPIs.
Source and qualify new transport partners supporting growth.
Serve as escalation point for cross-border and road freight customers.
Work with commercial teams to design logistics solutions.
Provide customers with shipment updates and performance reports.
Coordinate with internal teams for smooth operations.
Maintain records of shipments, costs, and documentation.
Track KPIs like transit time and delivery performance.
Lead the Cross Border and Transport team.
