Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics (S) Pte Ltd seeks an experienced Cross-Border Freight Coordinator to manage end-to-end road freight operations between Singapore and neighboring countries, including Malaysia and Thailand. You will plan routes, coordinate shipments, and ensure compliant, timely deliveries while maintaining service excellence.

You will liaise with transporters, drivers, and customers, prepare shipping documents, and monitor shipments to proactively resolve issues in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• At least 2 years of experience in freight forwarding or cross-border trucking operations.
• Good knowledge of Singapore–Malaysia cross-border procedures and customs regulations.
• Knowledge of TradeNet and/or customs declaration systems.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with HS codes and tariff classifications.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily end-to-end road freight operations, planning, scheduling, and monitoring cross-border truck movements.
• Plan and execute cross-border road freight shipments for both FTL and LTL to optimize routes and loads.
• Coordinate with transporters, drivers and warehouse teams for pickups and deliveries.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation including permits, invoices, packing lists and customs declarations.
• Apply for local and overseas customs permits for cross-border trucking.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore and other country customs regulations and cross-border requirements.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve delays or clearance issues.
• Communicate shipment updates, schedules and exceptions to customers.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain records of shipments, costs and documentation.
• Support billing processes including cost verification and invoice preparation.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships and develop strategic partnerships.

Job description

The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and managing cross border road freight shipments between Singapore and neighboring countries (Malaysia, Thailand or beyond) and day-to-day movement of freight. This role involves end-to-end operational coordination, ensures timely, and cost-effective transportation, compliance with customs regulations, and maintaining high customer service standards with the objective of achieving operational and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Managing the daily, end-to-end road freight operations, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring cross-border truck movements. Manages and coordinates the day-to-day movement of freight, trucks, and drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute cross-border road freight shipments for both FTL and LTL with the objective of optimizing routes, schedules, and cargo loads to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Liaise and coordinate with transporters, drivers, and warehouse team for pickup and delivery arrangements.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation (e.g., permits, invoices, packing lists, customs declarations).
• Application for local and overseas customs permits for cross-border trucking.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore and the relevant country's customs regulations and cross-border requirements.
