Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is looking for an experienced professional to manage inventory and logistics operations. In this role, you will oversee daily store operations, ensure efficient inventory management, and maintain accurate records. You will also be responsible for generating reports, managing discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Store Management and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Fluency in English and knowledge of inventory management software is essential.

Job Overview

This role, report to Head of Production or otherwise assigned by the Management, is overseeing the management and control of the Company’s inventory, stock audits, ensuring accurate records, efficient operations, and timely delivery of products. You are to supervise inventory staffs, implement and maintain inventory control procedures, and collaborate with other departments to optimise inventory levels and minimise waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee store and maintenance operations to ensure smooth daily functioning.
  • Uphold safety as priority at all time within store, as well as production area.
  • Raise Material Requisition Form for store consumable items according to item Re-Order-Point.
  • Implement warehousing/finished goods management to ensure the efficient and accurate receipt, handling and storage of materials and assemblies accordance to ISO9001 and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Policy.
  • Ensure warehouse activities are efficient and economical utilisation of facilities for storing and distributing raw material and finished goods inventories.
  • Manage good receipts, resolving discrepancies, to maintain required safety stocks.
  • Generate Monthly Inventory Report to Finance Department.
  • Ensure all material/inventory is correctly accounted for, reporting delivery discrepancies and organizing regular stock takes.
  • Operate and supervise the use of forklifts for loading and offloading and other materials-handling equipment safety and effectively.
  • Provide support in handling system administrative tasks related to production operation as needed.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Line Manager or the Management.
Role Accountabilities & Commitments Requirements
  • Demonstrate independence, reliability, and efficiency in overseeing warehouse and store operations.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, resolve discrepancies, conduct regular stock takes, and generate timely reports.
  • Apply strong analytical, planning, and problem‑solving skills, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold OHS standards, ISO9001 requirements, and ensure safe operation of forklifts and equipment.
  • Commit to process enhancements, teamwork, and economical use of resources to support production needs.
Other Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years in store/logistics management (preferably manufacturing) with at least a Diploma in Store Management.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and oral), Mandarin/Cantonese, and Malay.
  • Licensed forklift operator, physically fit for loading/unloading, with import/export experience. Possess Class 3 or Class 4 driving license is a plus.
  • Strong responsibility, positive attitude, able to work under pressure; applicants must be legally eligible to work in Singapore (no relocation support).
