About the job

We are looking for an experienced and versatile Software Engineer to join our team building a high-impact product used across multiple government agencies. This is a hands‑on role covering full-stack development, DevOps automation, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

You will work closely with the Tech Lead, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers.

What You’ll Do

Full-Stack Engineering

• Build and maintain frontend interfaces (React / React Native)

• Develop backend services using Node.js & TypeScript (NestJS a plus)

• Develop REST APIs integrating AWS services, Redis, MySQL/DynamoDB

• Debug, troubleshoot and ensure high code quality through reviews & testing

• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices

DevOps & Delivery

• Design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines

• Automate build, test and deployment processes

• Manage release workflows, monitoring, and troubleshooting

Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

• Provision and manage AWS environments using Terraform

• Maintain networking, security groups, load balancers

• Support observability, monitoring, DR readiness, and cost optimisation

Collaboration

• Participate in architecture discussions

• Mentor junior engineers

• Work closely with Product, QA, and Security teams

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years software engineering experience

• 2+ years DevOps or cloud experience

• Strong in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React/React Native

• Hands‑on AWS experience (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront)

• Good understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, Docker, Terraform

• Experience with MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, SQS/SNS

• Bonus: NestJS, microservices, distributed systems, DR/BCP, large enterprise/government projects
