Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java/J2EE applications using Object-Oriented programming principles.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in Agile and Waterfall execution models.
• Develop web and enterprise components using JSP, Servlets, EJB, and the Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC).
• Design, implement, and integrate SOAP and RESTful web services.
• Build and maintain applications using microservices architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Deploy, configure, and support applications on IBM WebSphere (ND and Base), Oracle WebLogic, and JBoss application servers.
• Support application deployments across Linux, Unix, and Windows Enterprise environments.
• Design, develop, and optimize database interactions using DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Couchbase.
• Perform SQL tuning, database performance optimization, and data integrity management.
• Support and contribute to data center–to–AWS cloud migration efforts, including application assessment and modernization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
• Provide production support, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions for system stability.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise Java/J2EE application development.
• Proven experience with Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC) and Hibernate.
• Experience developing and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere (ND & Base), Oracle WebLogic, and JBoss application servers.
• Extensive experience with databases including DB2 (9.1, 9.7, 10.1), Oracle 10g/11g, PostgreSQL, and Couchbase.
• Proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, and database performance tuning.
• Experience with AWS cloud migration or cloud-based application deployments.
• Experience working in Linux, Unix, and Windows Enterprise environments.
• Proven experience working in Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall development models.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
