Job summary

Job Description for Site Engineer

Location: Singapore | Industry: Building Construction / Lift & Escalator Systems

  • Review design drawings, specifications, and method statements for lift systems.
  • Provide technical guidance on electrical and mechanical installation of lifts.
  • Ensure systems comply with applicable standards, codes, and manufacturer requirements
  • Supervise lift installation works on site, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and civil teams for shaft readiness and interface works.
  • Liaise with main contractors, consultants, clients, and authorities on technical matters.
  • Monitor progress and report issues, delays, and risks to management.
  • Plan and conduct testing, adjustment, and commissioning of lift systems.
  • Perform safety checks, functional tests, and performance verification.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory inspections and certification requirements.
  • Support final handover documentation, operation manuals, and client training.
  • Support corrective maintenance and defect rectification during DLP/warranty period.
  • Ensure all works comply with site safety rules, risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Enforce safe practices in lift shafts, machine rooms, confined spaces, and energized systems.
  • Support preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and technical submissions.
  • Ensure quality standards are met at each stage of installation and commissioning.
  • Good coordination skills with electrical team and main contractor.
