JAC RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. partners with a global container shipping company to hire a Shipping Executive. The role exposes you to contract administration, billing, customer account management and operations support while working closely with customers and internal teams.

You will assist in managing customer agreements and billing, monitor slot usage, and help resolve inquiries to ensure smooth commercial operations. Training will be provided for candidates with or without shipping experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Shipping/Logistics or related discipline required.
• Open to candidates with or without shipping experience; training provided.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Detail-oriented with data accuracy and problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.

About the role:

We are partnering with a leading global container shipping company to hire a Shipping Executive. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to contract administration, billing, customer account management, and shipping operations support while working closely with customers and internal stakeholders.

You will support the management of customer agreements, monitor slot usage commitments, prepare billing and reconciliation documents, and assist in resolving customer queries to ensure smooth commercial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining customer agreements, contract information, and billing instructions to ensure accurate record keeping and invoicing.
• Monitor customer slot utilization and operational data, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure records are updated accurately.
• Prepare reconciliation statements and invoices in accordance with contractual terms and agreed timelines.
• Liaise with customers regarding billing matters, statement confirmations, and account-related enquiries.
• Support the resolution of operational and billing discrepancies while ensuring a high level of service delivery to customers.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
• Open to candidates with or without prior shipping experience. Training will be provided
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Detail-oriented and meticulous, with the ability to identify discrepancies, solve problems, and manage data accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
