Job summary

Mitsui-Soko (Singapore) (Pte) Ltd. is seeking a Freight and Forwarding Assistant in Singapore. You will coordinate shipping documents, prepare HBL/MBL and monitor vessel movements while ensuring timely release of documents to customers.

The role requires basic education, computer literacy, and an understanding of NVO operations. Overtime willingness and independent work are important for success in this position at our Pioneer area facility.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating shipment documentation and instructions from customers.
• Computer literate with ability to prepare documents and spreadsheets.
• Willingness to work overtime and in a warehouse/logistics setting.
• Basic understanding of NVO operations and documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping documents and customer instructions.
• Prepare HBL & MBL.
• Monitor vessel movement and finalize release of HBL.
• Send pre-alert documents to destination office.
• Coordinate with transport contractors to pick up empty containers.
• Coordinate with warehouse for container stuffing.
• Verify contractor invoices and bill customers.
• Handle other routine shipment coordination and documentation tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

A leading 3PL logistics company is looking for a Freight and Forwarding Assistant to:

• Coordinate the shipping documents and instruction from customer
• Preparation of HBL & MBL
• Monitoring of vessel movement, finalize the release of HBL to customer
• Sending pre-alert documents to destination office
• Coordinate with transport contractor to pick up empty container
• Coordinate with warehouse for stuffing of container
• Verifying contractor invoice and billing to customer
• Other routine shipment related coordination and documentations
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least an “O” level/Professional Certificate/NiTEC
• Computer literate
• Preferably with some basic understanding of NVO operation and documentation
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred in a Warehouse/Logistic industry
• Initiative and willingness to learn
• Able to work independently
• Attentive to details and good coordination skills
• Must be willing to work in Pioneer area
• Able to commit to overtime as and when required
