Job summary

Penanshin Shipping Pte Ltd is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Singapore. Fresh graduates are welcome and on-the-job training will be provided to build a career in shipping, logistics and freight forwarding.

The role involves coordinating end-to-end sea freight operations, handling inquiries, and supporting daily bills and tariffs. You will work in a dynamic environment with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in any discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience will be an added advantage.
• Comfortable with data entry and documentation.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end sea freight operations for Import and Export shipments.
• Coordinate shipment arrangements, including routing orders and warehouse transfers for co-load bookings.
• Handle shipment-related enquiries from agents and customers, including door delivery and cargo acceptance.
• Follow up on routing orders from nominated agents.
• Handle billing for door delivery shipments and other nomination-related charges.
• Attend to enquiries on transshipment status and other transshipment-related matters.
• Provide updated nomination tariffs to POD and POL agents.
• Liaise with agents and relevant parties to resolve shipment-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate end-to-end sea freight operations for Import and Export shipments.
• Coordinate shipment arrangements, including routing orders, cargo acceptance and warehouse transfers for co-load bookings.
• Handle shipment-related enquiries from agents and customers, including door delivery, cargo acceptance and shipment-related matters.

• Attend to enquiries on cargo transshipment status and other transshipment-related matters.
• Provide updated nomination tariffs to POD agents.
• Provided updated transshipment tariffs to POL agents.
• Liaise with agents and relevant parties to resolve shipment-related issues and disputes.
• Familiarise yourself with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure effective application in daily operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in any discipline.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with no prior shipping/freight forwarding experience are welcome to apply.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
