A leading marine service provider in Singapore is looking for a service technician to represent them onboard vessels during service work for innovative wastewater treatment systems. The technician will conduct system check-ups, maintenance work, and training of customer operators. A technical background in electrical engineering and fluency in English are required. This role demands someone who is structured, enjoys working independently, and is communicative while managing several tasks concurrently.

Qualifications

  • Years of work experience as an electrical engineer.
  • Ability to manage PLC software and updates.
  • Structured, independent worker with good communication skills.

Job description

Service technician that can be our representative on board our vessels during the start-up, commissioning and service work of Marinfloc's equipment. The service technician will work with electrical/automation tasks on board vessels with our equipment. The work is practical and independent.

Before the first job a training together with personnel from the Marinfloc HQ in Sweden will be performed in Singapore.

Navim Singapore is the local agent for Marinefloc, a company leader in innovative systems for wastewater treatment on ships and offshore units. The equipment includes bilge water, drill slope, black and grey water and oily sludge.

Tasks
  • System check ups
  • Maintenance work
  • Troubleshooting (at beginning with backup from Marinfloc-Sweden)
  • Training of customer operators onboard the vessel
  • Writing thoroughly service reports
  • Manage PLC software and updates.
Profile
  • You have a technical background as electrical engineer and you are skillful in understanding electrical drawings and marine systems. You can easily troubleshoot with the help from an electrical drawing.
  • You are skilled in working with computers and softwares as Word and Excel.
  • You have years of work experience as electrical engineer.
  • You speak and write fluently in English
  • As a person, you are structured and enjoy working independently and drive your work forward. You are communicative in speech and writing and enjoy working in teams where you manage several cases in parallel.
