Job description

KING KONG MEDIA PRODUCTION is a diversified regional entertainment company with an integrated business model encompassing video content creation, digital marketing, theatrical film development, artiste management, events marketing, management and production.

We are looking for a Video Editor who has a creative mind with a strong conceptual thinker with good knowledge in storyboarding (Creative Storyteller).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide the technical and creative video editing expertise using Premiere Pro to assemble raw video footage (rushes) into a structured programme according to pre-determined objectives, script and duration, creating rough and final cuts.
• Propose and create the necessary digital video effects, scene transitions and character generation to highlight, illustrate or enhance selected scenes to achieve the desired impact or messages.
• Keep abreast with changing technologies, techniques and equipment so as to be able to create exciting content through editing, and recommend improvements and upgrades to the company’s editing facilities.
• Ensure that the necessary filing and archiving for video files are done regularly and proficiently.
• Excellent in time management skills that include being able to have a rapid turn-over for shoots and edit.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1 year of experience in post-production role preferred.
• Preferably entry-level specialized in Graphic Design/ Film Production/ Film, Sound and Video.
• Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects.
• Strong creative and organizational skills.
• Effectively bilingual in English and the Chinese Language (in order to maintain and develop relationships with English and Chinese speaking key customers.)
• Technically skilled and experienced in handling and operating cameras/lights/audio equipment.
• Able to work on tight, demanding deadlines and juggle multiple projects at any given time. Willingness to work during off-work hours (including weekend and holiday).
