Senior Technical Payments Manager – Cloud & API Integration (WD72615)
Business Function: Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with a dynamic, resilient infrastructure focused on driving productivity, quality, and innovation. Manage critical operational processes across the bank, delivering solutions across multiple banking channels to serve our business partners.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Project Governance: Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and key stakeholders to drive project plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
- Track key project milestones, deliverables, and KPIs, and continuously report on progress to management and project sponsors.
- Lead project and program execution, ensuring on‑time delivery with a high focus on quality and scope.
- Proactively identify and resolve project issues and risks, escalating where necessary, to ensure smooth delivery across teams and functions.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with senior domain leads and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
- Ensure project steering committee meetings and other key stakeholder meetings are focused, effective, and consistently meet objectives.
- Communicate project updates to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across all levels of the organization.
- Change Management & Process Optimization: Champion the adoption of agile methodologies across teams to drive efficiency and faster delivery.
- Work with users and business teams to manage change and ensure the successful implementation of projects.
- Continuously enhance project execution standards, ensuring alignment with best practices for Agile, Cloud, and Web Development.
Technical Expertise & Specialized Knowledge
- Web Development: Strong understanding of React.js, with experience in web development practices.
- Microservices & Cloud Technologies: Expertise in Java microservice design and development, along with a deep understanding of database optimization.
- Cloud Skills: Proficiency in AWS, including CloudWatch query insights, EKS, MSK, and other AWS services.
- API Integration: Strong experience in third‑party integrations and API onboarding, specifically within digital banking ecosystems.
- Scrum & Agile Methodology: Solid understanding and experience in Scrum ceremonies, driving agile practices in project execution.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Proven experience in customer success, with a focus on enhancing digital customer experiences and optimizing third‑party integrations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Finance or Banking.
- Experience of 10 to 15 years in Project Management is a must in Banking or Financial institutions.
- Experience with Global Banking products is required with special emphasis on the area of Corporate Banking Cash Management (Payments and Remittances, Liabilities Management, SWIFT and Clearing, Payment Processing and Settlement, Term Deposits, etc.).
- Good hands‑on experience in implementing large‑scale programs using Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of web and mobile development, cloud services AWS, microservices, and API development and integrations is a plus.
- Familiar with government regulations, security standards, and compliance requirements specific to Singapore.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing both technical and business teams.
- Any relevant PM certification including PMP or Prince2 will be added advance.
