About the Opportunity

The Trading services team provides core order and position management system for the exchange. It is the backbone of our industry‑leading trading product used by millions of users. Within this, the Trading Data sub‑team takes ownership of trading and market data analytics. We constantly strive to push the limits of data‑driven decision‑making, empowering our global users with smarter insights. Our mission is to refine accuracy, reduce latency, and enhance the decision‑making scope for our users, ensuring they stay ahead in an ever‑evolving market.

As a Senior/Staff Engineer, you will work with an exceptional team to lead mission‑critical, data‑intensive projects that directly impact millions of users on their crypto investment journeys. You'll leverage your expertise to design and build data applications that provide distinguishable precision, speed, and insights. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving innovation for our data foundations, ensuring we deliver highly reliable and scalable solutions that meet the needs of a rapidly evolving market.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the design and development of high‑performance, real‑time, data‑intensive applications for the trading domain
  • Drive future‑proof innovative data solutions to solve problems at scale
  • Lead projects with an Agile mindset, ensuring timely delivery and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, Front End, QA and Infra engineers to get things done
  • Uphold best practices in code quality, performance optimisation, and data management across the team
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, helping them grow their technical expertise
What We Look For In You
  • 7+ years of hands‑on experience in the big data domain with a proven track record of solving complex data challenges
  • Demonstrated success in driving and delivering solutions to challenging data‑related problems
  • Expertise in semi‑structured data, data processing pipelines, data modeling, and OLAP solutions
  • A solid educational background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), preferably Masters in Computer Science or above
  • Excellent logical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • A natural curiosity with the ability to navigate uncertainty and a keen attention to detail
Nice to Haves
  • Deep understanding of modern event‑driven architecture
  • Experience in search and recommendation systems
  • Familiarity and interests in cutting‑edge data technologies like PolarDB, TiDB, Starrocks and Clickhouse etc
  • Experience of working with multi‑region and multi‑cultural teams is a plus
